Woodbridge offers the advantages of independent living in a magnificent location, close to transport, shopping centres and recreational, medical and community facilities. Woodbridge is home to nearly 300 people living in one of our 221 independent living units, superbly located within one of six villages on Delfin Island and on the Lakefront. Who We Are

Lakeside Villages Incorporated, trading as Woodbridge Retirement Village (Woodbridge), is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1979 by Delfin Property Group Limited (the developers of ‘West Lakes’) in co-operation with the Port Adelaide Central Mission (now
known as UnitingSA).

Registered under the Associations Incorporation Act 1985, Lakeside Villages Incorporated was established for the benefit and welfare of older people in the community, and as such, there are no shareholders. Any profits are reinvested to improve the village.

Woodbridge has been recognised and trusted by its community for over 40 years and continues to be financially sound with a strong balance sheet.

Board and Staff

The Association is managed by a Board of Management. The Board is skills based and comprises experienced professionals from a wide range of industries who are responsible for setting strategic direction and policies in line with its Constitution and for ensuring Woodbridge Retirement Village complies with its regulatory requirements.

The Board’s direction is implemented by a small dedicated team, including the Chief Executive Officer, Wellbeing Coordinator, Sales & Marketing Officer, Maintenance Officer and Office Administrator supported by a contract Gardener and Cleaner.

Kathy Nagle is a Registered Nurse and the Chief Executive Officer of Western Hospital, having previously held the dual role of Director of Nursing. She is an Auditor with The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and is a Director of St Michaels College SA and The Port Adelaide Football Club (PAFC). Kathy has a particular interest in Governance and Risk and brings a wealth of strategic experience to the Board.

Mark Prosser

Mark Prosser is a Director and co-founder of Optimum Retirement Services. He has been consulting to the retirement village industry for over two decades. Mark has assisted over 200 villages throughout Australia and, more recently in Malaysia. He was previously the state Chair of the Retirement Village Association and a national board member of the same association. Mark was previously an Association Board member of Investigator College and is currently a board member of RSL Care SA Inc. Mark joined the board of Lakeside Villages in 2019.

For over two decades, Cath has been working in the creative services industry as the Principal at Dew Creative, a small, boutique agency with a diverse range of public and
private sector clients.

Her extensive professional experience brings knowledge and expertise to the board in the areas of branding, strategy, design, marketing, and communications.

Frank Di Martino

Principal/Owner

Frank is the Principal/Owner of Kaesler Di Martino & Co Pty Ltd, a real estate agency trading as Professionals Port Adelaide, established in 1987. It is a family-owned business.

Frank has been selling real estate in Port Adelaide and surrounding suburbs since 1978 and brings a wealth of property knowledge to Woodbridge Retirement Village.

Andrew Oliver

Andrew Oliver

FCA, BA (Acc), Grad Dip (Ace), Grad Dip (Mgent)

Andrew Oliver is a Director and shareholder of Bentley Development Group Pty Ltd and Arcadian Communities Pty Ltd, companies that specialise in urban development.

His key responsibilities in these businesses are the assessment and acquisition of new business opportunities and the oversight of the finance and administration functions.

After a 13 year career in the accounting profession,  Andrew joined Delfin Property Group where he was responsible for the company’s financial and capital management and held various roles including Regional Finance Manager for SA, VIC, NT and WA.

James (Jim) Perry

James (Jim) Perry

Jim was a Partner of the chartered accounting firm DFK Gray Perry and Director of Gray Perry Wealth Advisers Pty Ltd for 35 years. His expertise is in taxation & structuring advice, business management and planning, with 40 years in Public Practice.

Jim was Chair of the Board for 15 years. Prior to that he was a Director and brings expertise in financial & business management to the board.

Cheryl Vandenberg

Registered Architect

Cheryl is a registered Architect working in the construction industry as a Design Manager for Built. She has over 20 years of experience in the design industry prior to moving to construction, with vast project experience and knowledge in Education, Health, Commercial, Residential Care, Retirement Living, and Community sectors in particular.

Her expertise lies within stakeholder and consultant management, feasibility, design and delivery of property developments.
